The Richmond Olympic Oval has been operating its state-of-the-art cycle studio for close to 10 years, featuring Stages SC3 bikes and Stages Studio Pro™ technology. Our multi-media studio delivers experience- and performance-based rides that incorporate participants’ performance metrics. We are looking for motivating fitness leaders who teach with passion, intensity, and personality.
Join the Richmond Olympic Oval’s Group Fitness team and work alongside industry-leading talent in a fast-paced, high-energy culture driven by passion, performance, and community. As an OVALfit Ride Instructor, you deliver engaging, motivating, and inclusive cycling classes, bringing confidence, charisma, and your own ride style to every session. You create an immersive experience by preparing class profiles in the Stages Studio Pro system, building playlists that move the room, setting up the studio, and ensuring riders are fully connected and supported. You consistently deliver an on-brand Ovalfit experience while inspiring riders to challenge themselves, connect, and return ride after ride.
Please note: A live teaching demonstration is part of the screening process.
Qualifications

- Current Cycling Certification (BCRPA, CanFit Pro, or StagesStudio® Certified)
- Prior experience with Stages Studio Pro™ is an asset (training provided)
- Additional certifications or experience working with special populations are considered an asset
- Solid understanding of anatomy, kinesiology, exercise modifications, and contraindications
- Current CPR certification and personal liability insurance
- Minimum 6 months of group fitness or cycling instruction experience preferred
- Confident, engaging instructor with the ability to lead and energize classes of 21+ riders
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills within a diverse community
- Comfortable learning and using fitness and performance software
- Ability to design and coach both performance and rhythm rides using the Stages FTP system
- Passion for music, with the ability to create motivating playlists across multiple genres
- Understanding of beat matching and musical countdowns
- Ability to successfully complete a Criminal Record Check
- Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Compensation range: $42.63-$56.84 per hour plus 12% in lieu of benefits (hourly rate is based on qualifications and experience)
